The Spreckels Organ Society conducts an education program in collaboration with the San Diego City Schools' fifth-grade Balboa Park program. Each Friday at noon an organist from the Spreckels Society plays for a group of students who have spent the previous portion of the week visiting Balboa Park's museums and other cultural attractions. The program reaches over 9,000 students per year.  Unfortunately, due to recent school system budget actions, this program is currently not in operation.  Hopefully it will be able to be restored.
