But first! The day before, on Sunday evening, just following the regular Sunday afternoon concert, all the musicians gather for a rehearsal.
 The full ensemble, under the direction of maestro Raúl Prieto Ramírez, is divided into three groups. 
On the right, the two trumpets, trombone and French horn comprise one group.  On the left the trumpet, French horn, trombone and tuba make up the second. 
The Spreckels Organ becomes the third group.
